Abbattuta l’antenna dell’impianto RAI di Caltanissetta

L’antenna RAI di Caltanissetta è stata smantellata il 23 luglio 2025 a causa di problemi strutturali e costi di manutenzione elevati. 

L’antenna dell’altezza di 286 metri, con il primato della struttura più alta d’Italia irradiava trasmissioni in onde medie tra queste un programma in onde medie a 567 Khz in lingua araba.

L’impianto , di proprietà Rai , fu inaugurato nel 1951 e spento il 9 agosto 2004 , l’antenna fino al 1965 ha detenuto il primato di antenna più alta d’Europa sino alla costruzione della struttura Belmont Transmitting Statio nel Regno Unito , dell’altezza di 351 metri , tutt’ora la struttura più alta di tutta l’Unione Europea.

IP1X Gallinara Island

IP1X Gallinara Island , il team ( (IU1JCZ, IK2QEI, IK1SPR, IK1YDB, IU1LCU, IK1QBT) sarà operativo durante il prossimo IOTA contest (26 -27 luglio)  h24 (notte compresa) dalla referenza EU-083 e POTA IT-0230 . Modalità CW e SSB da 10 a 80 metri.

IP1X Gallinara Island, the team ((IU1JCZ, IK2QEI, IK1SPR, IK1YDB, IU1LCU, IK1QBT) will be active during the upcoming IOTA contest (July 26-27) h24 (including night) from the reference EU-083 and POTA IT-0230. Operating modes will be CW and SSB on 10 to 80 meters.

Brazilian Radio Amateurs Licensed in CB Band

ANATEL (Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações) con risoluzione 777/2025 non richiederà piu in CW per le licenze radioamatoriali. Inoltre ha autorizzato i radioamatori brasiliani ad operare in banda Cittadina (CB) identificarsi con il proprio nominativo con limitazione 10 watt di potenza in AM e 25 watt in SSB ed all’interno dei canali autorizzati.

ANATEL (National Telecommunications Agency) with Resolution 777/2025 will no longer require CW for amateur radio licenses. Additionally, it has authorized Brazilian amateur radio operators to operate in the Citizen Band (CB), identify themselves with their own call sign, with a power limitation of 10 watts in AM and 25 watts in SSB, within the authorized channels.

14° European Womens Football Championship

In occasione del 14°European Womens Football Championship , che si terrà dal 2 al 27 luglio 2025 in Svizzera , l’USKA (union of Swiss shortwave amateur) attiverà otto nominativi speciali on air per tutto il mese di luglio.

On the occasion of the 14th European Women’s Football Championship, which will be held from July 2 to July 27, 2025, in Switzerland, USKA (Union of Swiss Shortwave Amateur) will activate eight special callsigns on air throughout the month of July.

special callsigns:HB2025BA, HB2025BE, HB2025GE, HB2025ZH, HB2025SG, HB2025LU, HB2025SI and HB2025TH.

Special callsign AO20EURAO

In occasion of twenty years of the European Radio Amateurs’ Organization (EURAO), the EA Digital Federation (FEDI-EA) will be on the air, from June 14 to July 13, 2025, with the special callsign AO20EURAO.

In addition, the PTT also has authorized all Spanish licence holders (who wish) to use, on the same dates, their callsign as special in the following format:

  • changing prefix: those EA to AM, EB to AN and EC to AO
  • adding the number 20 behind the own district figure
  • and keeping the suffix of their own callsign.

Thus, for example, to the callsign EA3RKF would correspond AM320RKF.

in occasione del ventennale dell‘Organizzazione Europea dei Radioamatori (EURAO), la Federazione Digitale EA (FEDI-EA) sarà in onda, dal 14 giugno al 13 luglio 2025, con il nominativo speciale AO20EURAO .

Inoltre, la PTT ha autorizzato tutti i titolari di licenza spagnola (che lo desiderino) a utilizzare, nelle stesse date, il proprio nominativo speciale nel seguente formato:

  • cambiando il prefisso: quelli da EA ad AM, da EB ad AN ed EC ad AO
  • aggiungendo il numero 20 dopo la cifra del proprio distretto
  • e mantenendo il suffisso del proprio nominativo.

Così, ad esempio, il nominativo EA3RKF corrisponderebbe ad AM320RKF.
